Public Member Functions

std::string Hex () const
 The digest as 64 lowercase hex characters (the cross-session interchange form).
bool operator== (Digest256 const &other) const
 Bytewise equality.
bool operator!= (Digest256 const &other) const
 Bytewise inequality.
bool operator< (Digest256 const &other) const
 Lexicographic byte order, so Digest256 can key ordered containers.

Public Attributes

std::array< std::uint8_t, 32 > bytes {}
 The raw 32 digest bytes, big-endian word order per FIPS 180-4.

Detailed Description

A 256-bit content digest – the output of Sha256, used as a persistent identity key.

Value type with equality and ordering, so it can key std::map (the System intern table) and be compared across sessions via its hex rendering.

Member Function Documentation

◆ Hex()

std::string bertini::detail::Digest256::Hex ( ) const

The digest as 64 lowercase hex characters (the cross-session interchange form).

◆ operator!=()

bool bertini::detail::Digest256::operator!= ( Digest256 const & other) const
inline

Bytewise inequality.

◆ operator<()

bool bertini::detail::Digest256::operator< ( Digest256 const & other) const
inline

Lexicographic byte order, so Digest256 can key ordered containers.

◆ operator==()

bool bertini::detail::Digest256::operator== ( Digest256 const & other) const
inline

Bytewise equality.

Member Data Documentation

◆ bytes

std::array<std::uint8_t, 32> bertini::detail::Digest256::bytes {}

The raw 32 digest bytes, big-endian word order per FIPS 180-4.
